ASX 200 Sharply Lower By 1.54%, Amid Heavy Global Sell-Off

By the end of the trading session on 20 December 2022, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 ended lower by 1.54% and settled at 7,024.30. All 11 sectors closed lower along with the ASX 200. The Information Technology and A-REIT sectors were the top declining sectors, declined by 4.38% and 3.81% respectively in their index values.

Steadfast Group Limited (ASX: SDF) and AUB Group Limited (ASX: AUB) were the top gainers, with 2.063% and 1.986% growth in share prices, respectively. On the other hand, Johns Lyng Group Limited (ASX: JLG) and Liontown Resources Limited (ASX: LTR) were the top losers, with a 12.335% and 10.299% drop in share prices, respectively.
