Market Alert : Global Sell-Off Extends: Liquidity Fears and Growth Concerns Dominate

ASX 200 Ended Lower By 0.47%, RBA Raised Cash Rate By 0.25% To 3.1%

By the end of the trading session on 06 December 2022, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 ended lower by 0.47% and settled at 7,291.30. Out of 11 sectors, 7 sectors closed lower along with the ASX 200.

The Utilities and Industrials sectors were the top 2 gaining sectors, gained by 0.53% and 0.33% in their index values. On the other hand, The Information Technology and A-REIT sectors were the top 2 declining sectors, decline by 2.04% and 1.08% in their index values.

Whitehaven Coal Limited (ASX: WHC) and Fletcher Building Limited (ASX: FBU) were the top gainers, with 2.722% and 2.580% growth in share prices, respectively. On the other hand, Novonix Limited (ASX: NVX) and St Barbara Limited (ASX: SBM) were the top losers, with 8.850% and 8.760% drop in share prices, respectively.
