ASX 200 Ended Higher Today, Buoyed By REIT And IT Sectors

By the end of the trading session on 24 January 2023, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 ended higher by 0.44% and settled at 7,490.40. Out of 11 sectors, 7 sectors closed higher along with the ASX 200.

The A-REIT and Information Technology sectors were the top 2 gaining sectors, gained 1.82% and 1.32% respectively in their index values. The Financial and Industrial sectors were the top 2 declining sectors, declined 0.25% and 0.25% respectively in their index values.

Breville Group Limited (ASX: BRG) and Block Inc (ASX: SQ2) were the top gainers, with 7.540% and 5.695% growth in share prices, respectively. On the other hand, Telix Pharmaceuticals Limited (ASX: TLX) and Imugene Limited (ASX: IMU) were the top losers, with 3.449% and 3.226% drop in share prices, respectively.

  • Dow has closed up by 0.76%, S&P 500 up by 1.19%, and NASDAQ ended higher by 2.01%.
  • The Hang Seng is up by 1.82%. and the FTSE 100 is down by 0.18%.
