Market Alert : Global Sell-Off Extends: Liquidity Fears and Growth Concerns Dominate

ASX 200 Ended Higher By 1.18%, All 11 Sectors Closed Higher

By the end of the trading session on 12 January 2023, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 ended higher by 1.18% and settled at 7,280.40. All 11 sectors closed higher along with the ASX 200. The Financial and Materials sectors were the top 2 gaining sectors, gained 1.46% and 1.42% respectively in their index values.

Pilbara Minerals Limited (ASX: PLS) and Liontown Resources Limited (ASX: LTR) were the top gainers, with 4.522% and 4.333% growth in share prices, respectively. On the other hand, New Hope Corporation Limited (ASX: NHC) and Gold Road Resources Limited (ASX: GOR) were the top losers, with 3.584% and 2.990% drop in share prices, respectively.
