Market Alert : Global Sell-Off Extends: Liquidity Fears and Growth Concerns Dominate

ASX 200 Ended Higher By 0.90%, Led By A-REIT and Materials Sectors

By the end of the trading session on 11 January 2023, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 ended higher by 0.90% and settled at 7,195.30. Out of 11 sectors, 10 sectors closed higher along with the ASX 200.

The A-REIT and Materials sectors were the top 2 gaining sectors, gained 1.93% and 1.68% respectively in their index values. The Utilities sector was the only declining sector, declined 0.49% in its index value.

Novonix Limited (ASX: NVX) and IGO Limited (ASX: IGO) were the top gainers, with 9.345% and 5.176% growth in share prices, respectively. On the other hand, Xero Limited (ASX: XRO) and Karoon Energy Ltd (ASX: KAR) were the top losers, with 3.281% and 3.241% drop in share prices, respectively.
