S&P/ASX 200 Ended Higher By 0.19%; Buoyed by Information Technology

By the end of the trading session on 15 June 2023, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 ended higher by 0.19% and settled at 7,175.30. Out of 11 sectors, 7 sectors closed higher along with the ASX 200.

The Information Technology and Financial sectors were the 2 top gaining sectors, gained 0.96% and 0.79% in its index value. On the other hand, the Healthcare and Utilities sectors were the top 2 declining sectors, declined by 1.97% and 0.55% in their index values.

Insurance Australia Group Limited (ASX: IAG) and Aurizon Holdings Limited (ASX: AZJ) were the top gainers, with 4.588% and 4.481% growth in share prices, respectively. On the other hand, Imugene Limited (ASX: IMU) and Lynas Rare Earths Limited were the top losers, with a 9.524% and 6.511% drop in share prices, respectively.
