ASX 200 Ended Higher By 0.10%; Buoyed By Utilities And A-REIT Sectors

By the end of the trading session on 27 March 2023, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 ended higher by 0.10% and settled at 6,962.00. Out of 11 sectors, 8 sectors closed higher along with the ASX 200.

Utilities and A-REIT sectors were the top-gaining sectors, gaining 2.16% and 1.00% respectively in their index values. Energy and Consumer Discretionary Sectors were the top declining sector, declining 2.30% and 0.28% in their respective index values.

Brainchip Holdings Limited (ASX: BRN) and Telix Pharmaceuticals Limited (ASX: TLX) were the top gainers, with 4.597% and 3.230% growth in share prices, respectively. On the other hand, Lake Resource N.L. (ASX: LKE) and Novonix Limited (ASX: NVX) were the top losers, with 13.542% and 3.913% drop in share prices, respectively.

  • The Dow closed up by 0.41%, the S&P 500 increased by 0.56%, and the NASDAQ ended higher by 0.31%. 
  • The Hang Seng declined by -0.61%, and the FTSE 100 was down -1.26% on the same day.
