ASX/200 Closed Lower by 0.19%, Dragged down by Financial
By the end of trading session on 11 November 2025, benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 closed 0.19% lower at 8,818.80. Out of 11 sectors, 08 sectors ended higher along with the S&P/ASX 200.
Utilities and Energy were the top-gaining sectors, gaining 1.70% and 1.33% in its value. On the other hand, Financial and Information Technology were the top-losing sectors, losing 1.97% and 0.30% in their values.
Light & Wonder Inc. (ASX: LNW) and Liontown Resources Limited (ASX: LTR) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 10.993% and 7.826% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Limited (ASX: BEN) and Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX: CBA) are the top-losing stocks, losing 8.491% and 6.586% in their stock prices.
Bendigo Bank dived 8.5 per cent to $11.64 as it reported unaudited cash earnings of $120.7 million for the September quarter, down 3.2 per cent on the previous quarter.
Pokies maker Light & Wonder surged 11 per cent to $138.82 and was among the best performers on the ASX 200. There were no updates from the company during the session, but investors continue to pile in after an upbeat third quarter update last week.
Endeavour Group rose 1.7 per cent to $3.64 after it overhauled its leadership with several new appointments, including poaching Supercheap Auto’s managing director for the top job at Dan Murphy’s.
Gold extended gains, after recording its biggest daily jump since May, in anticipation of further rate cuts following a deal to end the longest government shutdown in US history.
Oil prices edge lower as dollar steadies, oversupply jitters persist
Global market sentiment was mixed, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 0.81%, the S&P 500 up 1.54%, and the Nasdaq Composite advancing 2.27%.
The Hang Seng is down -0.22%, and the FTSE 100 is up 1.08% today.
