ASX/200 Closed Higher By 0.74%; Lifted by Industrials

By the end of the trading session on 30 November 2023, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 ended higher by 0.74% and settled at 7,087.30. Out of 11 sectors, 09 sectors closed higher along with the ASX 200.

Utilities and Energy sectors were the top-declining sectors, gaining 0.95% and 0.26% respectively in their index values. Industrials and Information Technology sector was the top-gaining sectors, gaining 1.43% and 1.29% respectively in their index values.

Iress Limited (ASX: IRE) and Mirvac Group Limited (ASX: MGR) were the top gainers, with 14.869% and 4.568% growth in share prices, respectively. Core Lithium Limited (ASX: CXO) and Paladin Energy Limited (ASX: PDN) were the top losers, with 3.449% and 2.986% drop in share prices, respectively.

  • The Dow Jones closed with a marginal increase of 0.04%, while the S&P 500 experienced a slight decline of 0.09%, and the NASDAQ ended the day with a 0.16% decrease.
  • In Asian markets, the Hang Seng recorded a 0.12% decline, and the FTSE 100 in the UK saw a 0.43% decrease in its value on the given day.
