Market Alert : Global Sell-Off Extends: Liquidity Fears and Growth Concerns Dominate

ASX/200 Closed higher by 0.51%; Lifted by Healthcare

By the end of the trading session on 23 January 2024, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 ended higher by 0.51% and settled at 7,514.90. Out of 11 sectors, 08 sectors closed higher along with the ASX 200.

Healthcare and Financials sectors were the top-gaining sectors, gaining 1.02% and 0.75% respectively in their index values. On the other hand Consumer Discretionary and A-REIT were the top-losing sectors, declining 0.35% and 0.25% respectively in their index values.

Polynovo Limited (ASX: PNV) and Arcadium Lithium Limited (ASX: LTM) were the top gainers, with 6.321% and 4.666% growth in share prices, respectively. IDP Education Limited (ASX: IEL) and Core Lithium Limited (ASX: CXO) were the top losers, with 5.848% and 4.878% drop in share prices, respectively.
