ASX/200 Closed Higher By 0.46%; Lifted by Material

By the end of the trading session on 14 September 2023, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 ended higher by 0.46% and settled at 7,186.50. Out of 11 sectors, 08 sectors closed higher along with the ASX 200.

Materials and Financial sectors were the top-gaining sectors, gaining 0.96% and 0.69% respectively in their index values. Healthcare and Consumer Staples sectors were the top-declining sectors, gaining 0.57% and 0.03% respectively in their index values.

Brainchip Holdings Limited (ASX: BRN) and Sayona Mining Limited (ASX: SYA) were the top gainers, with 5.454% and 5.000% growth in share prices, respectively. Link Administration Limited (ASX: LNK) and Fletcher Building Limited (ASX: FBU) were the top losers, with 4.878% and 4.409% drop in share prices, respectively.

  • The Hang Seng displayed a rise of 0.15%, while the FTSE 100 witnessed a marginal decline of -0.02% on the current trading day.
