ASX 200 Closed Higher By 0.18%, Buoyed By A-REIT and Utilities Sectors
By the end of the trading session on 26 October 2022, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 ended higher by 0.18% and settled at 6,810.90. Out of 11 sectors, 8 sectors closed higher along with the ASX 200.
The A-REIT and Utilities sectors were the top 2 gaining sectors, gained 2.50% and 2.41% in their index values. On the other hand, the Consumer Staples and Energy sectors were the top 2 declining sectors, declined by 2.39% and 1.36% in their index values.
Costa Group Holdings Limited (ASX: CGC) and G.U.D. Holdings Limited (ASX: GUD) were the top gainers, with 10.762% and 5.371% growth in share prices, respectively. On the other hand, Medibank Private Limited (ASX: MPL) and Whitehaven Coal Limited (ASX: WHC) were the top losers, with an 18.117% and 8.109% drop in share prices, respectively.
