ASX 200 Closed Higher By 0.52%; Buoyed By IT Sector

By the end of the trading session on 21 July 2022, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 ended higher by 0.52% and settled at 6,794.30. Out of 11 sectors, 7 sectors closed higher along with the ASX 200.

The Information Technology and Telecommunication Services sectors were the top 2 gaining sectors, gained 3.15% and 2.07% in their index value. On the other hand, the Energy and A-REIT sectors were the top 2 losing sectors, declined 2.83% and 0.96% in their index values.

Zip Co Limited (ASX: ZIP) and Kelsian Group Limited (ASX: KLS) were the top gainers with 16.541% and 14.705% growth in share prices, respectively. On the other hand, Imugene Limited (ASX: IMU) and Woodside Energy Limited (ASX: WDS) were the top losers, with a 5.661% and 4.391% drop in share prices, respectively.
