ASX 200 Closed Higher By 0.44%; Buoyed By Tech and Energy Sectors
By the end of the trading session on 14 July 2022, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 ended higher by 0.44% and settled at 6,650.60. Out of 11 sectors, 9 sectors closed higher along with the gain in the ASX 200.
The Information Technology and Energy sectors were the top 2 gaining sectors, gained 2.07% and 1.74% in their index value. On the other hand, the A-REIT and Financial sectors were the top 2 losing sectors, declined 1.15% and 0.83% in their index values.
EML Payments Limited (ASX: EML) and Imugene Limited (ASX: IMU) were the top gainers with 12.299% and 8.695% growth in share prices, respectively. On the other hand, Bega Cheese Limited (ASX: BGA) and St. Barbara Limited (ASX: SBM) were the top losers, with an 8.451% and 4.788% drop in share prices, respectively.
S&P/ASX 200 closed higher by 0.44% after better-than-expected unemployment data for June.
Bega Cheese's share price declined following the company warned rising milk prices over June and July means its FY 2023 normalized EBITDA is set to finish between AU$160 million and AU$190 million, versus guidance between AU$175 million and AU$190 million in FY 2022.

Dow has closed down by 0.7%, S&P 500 down by 0.3%, and NASDAQ closed lower by 0.2%.
Hang Seng is down by 0.56%, and FTSE 100 is down by 0.74%.
