Zeotech Advances Methane Control Tech: Infield Trials at Cleanaway Landfill

Jan 30, 2024

Zeotech Limited (ASX: ZEO) announces progress in its methane emissions control program at Griffith University, advancing to infield validation trials at a Cleanaway landfill site. Following successful methane oxidation trials in Program Activities A and B, the zeoteCH₄® methane control technology demonstrated promising results. Two zeoteCH₄® products maintained high oxidation rates exceeding 70% over a 3-month period, prompting their selection for field validation.

Manufactured using Toondoon kaolin mineral and a coal combustion by-product, the products act as effective hosts for methanotroph communities, sustaining constant high oxidation levels with minimal intervention. Dr. Chris Pratt of Griffith University expresses enthusiasm for the project's potential contribution to Australia's goal of reducing methane emissions by 30% by 2030.
