Volt Resources Limited (ASX: VRC) is set to raise AU$1.632 million through a capital raising initiative, consisting of a AU$1.132 million Placement and a Share Purchase Plan (SPP) of up to AU$0.5 million. The Placement attracted strong support from both existing and new institutional and sophisticated investors, with key members of Volt's leadership team, including the Executive Chairman, Managing Director, and a Non-executive Director, committing to subscribe for Placement shares.
This initiative is designed to advance Volt's integrated graphite battery materials strategy, particularly focusing on the development of their downstream graphite anode business and advancing projects in Tanzania and Ukraine. The move coincides with China's decision to tighten graphite export permits, potentially enhancing the value of non-Chinese graphite sources. The Placement and SPP are offered at an attractive AU$0.007 per share, an 8.75% discount to the closing price on October 19, 2023, and eligible shareholders can participate in the SPP to boost their holdings.
