Trigg Minerals Limited (ASX: TMG) has appointed Andre Booyzen, former Vice President at Mandalay Resources, as its Senior Antimony Strategic Advisor. With over 20 years of experience in mining, particularly in the antimony sector, Mr Booyzen will assist Trigg in exploring strategic offtake opportunities and global partnerships for its antimony projects.
Trigg's Wild Cattle Creek deposit, part of the Achilles Project in NSW, is one of the few primary antimony deposits capable of supplying the Western world, especially amidst China's export restrictions on critical minerals like antimony and tungsten. From 2010 to 2017, Booyzen led Mandalay Resources' Australian operations, overseeing the Costerfield Gold-Antimony Mine. His appointment is crucial as Trigg looks to develop its antimony portfolio in NSW. With antimony prices reaching US$38,000 per tonne in 2024, Trigg aims to unlock the potential of its projects rapidly with Booyzen's expertise.
