Toro Energy Limited (ASX: TOE) has provided confirmation of the presence of further significant nickel sulphide deposits at the Dusty Nickel Project in Western Australia. Through geochemical assays, the company has verified the occurrence of massive nickel sulphides in the Dimma discovery drill holes, previously identified using handheld portable XRF devices.
Notably, diamond drill hole TED41 intersected a 4.31-meter section of massive nickel sulphide with grades of 1.16% nickel, 0.29% copper, and 0.386 g/t platinum and palladium from a depth of 243.33 meters. Similarly, TED42 encountered a 3.13-meter section of massive nickel sulphide grading 1.42% nickel, 0.17% copper, and 0.605 g/t platinum and palladium from a depth of 314 meters. These discoveries, including Dimma, Jumping Jack, Houli Dooley, represent the first findings of Komatiite-hosted massive nickel sulphides in the region and exploration efforts continue at greater depths.
