TMK Energy Limited (ASX: TMK) successfully operated all six pilot production wells at its Gurvantes XXXV Coal Seam Gas (CSG) Project close to 100% uptime throughout December 2024. The original wells (LF-01, LF-02, LF-03) quickly resumed gas production after pump speeds returned to normal after drilling new wells.
The new wells (LF-04, LF-05, LF-06) are undergoing gradual fluid level reduction as part of the reservoir management plan, with levels already reduced by 30%. This careful approach ensures optimal production efficiency. Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) data collection from LF-04 and LF-05 has commenced, aiding the identification of water and gas contribution zones within the thick production intervals. With minimal downtime and steady progress in data collection, TMK Energy continues to demonstrate strong operational capability, positioning itself for further advancements in coal seam gas extraction. Detailed DTS analysis is expected in the coming months.
