TMK Energy Achieves Record Gas Production at Gurvantes XXXV

TMK Energy Limited (ASX: TMK) continues to progress significantly at its Gurvantes XXXV Coal Seam Gas Project in Mongolia, achieving a new monthly record for gas production in February 2025. The project produced approximately 9,100m of gas, a 14% increase from January, with a new daily production record of 465m set on 4 March 2025. This growth highlights the success of TMK’s reservoir depressurisation strategy, with five out of six wells now operating at design fluid levels.

Despite temporary downtime on one well (LF-05) for pump maintenance, pressure build-up tests confirm a steady decline in reservoir pressure, approaching the critical desorption level—a key milestone for boosting gas production. Early Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) data suggests large sections of the reservoir are productive, reinforcing confidence in the project’s commercial viability. TMK’s ability to sustain operations through harsh winters further strengthens its long-term development potential in Mongolia.
