Alderan Resources Limited (ASX: AL8) has revealed significant findings of copper mineralisation from its recent drilling operations. The final hole of the Stage 1 drilling program, NY2024-DDH3, intersected two distinct mineralisation zones: an oxide zone from 0-25 meters with an average pXRF reading of 8.2% copper, and a deeper sulphide zone from 73-92 meters averaging 17.2% copper. These findings support historical data, notably hole NY-2, which showed similar mineralisation patterns.
The drilling campaign, aimed at validating past results and understanding geological controls, has concluded with all samples sent for laboratory analysis. Archaeological inspections for the next phase of drilling have been completed. Managing Director Scott Caithness highlighted the potential for high-grade copper mineralisation, emphasizing the positive implications of these results for future exploration efforts.
