Sayona Mining Limited has announced that, upon shareholder approval, the merged entity with Piedmont Lithium (ASX: PLL) will be named Elevra Lithium Limited. The rebranding is part of a strategic transaction first disclosed in November 2024. Elevra Lithium’s board will consist of eight members—four appointed by Sayona and four by Piedmont—reflecting a balanced governance structure. Lucas Dow, current Sayona CEO, will serve as Managing Director and CEO, while Piedmont’s Dawne Hickton has been designated as Chair.
The newly nominated board features seasoned leaders from various sectors including mining, finance, and corporate strategy. This merger aims to streamline ownership, enhance operational efficiencies, and strengthen Elevra Lithium’s position in the growing lithium market. The transition is expected to position Elevra as a key force in meeting global lithium demand through sustainable and efficient production strategies.
