Recharge Metals Ltd (ASX: REC) has announced the successful execution of a binding agreement to acquire 100% ownership of the Wapistan Lithium Project, located in the James Bay Region of Québec, Canada. With this acquisition, Recharge expands its landholding to over 180 square kilometres in the region, positioning itself near Q2 Metals Mia Lithium Project and Ophir Gold's Radis Lithium Project.
The Wapistan Lithium Project covers a significant area of 107 square kilometres across two claim areas, situated on the same greenstone belts known for hosting lithium mineralization. Recharge has enlisted Dahrouge Geological Consulting to conduct fieldwork promptly after the completion of the acquisition. Additionally, the company has secured firm commitments to raise AU$1.1 million, providing sufficient funding for exploration activities at both Wapistan and their flagship Express Lithium Project over the next 12 months.
