QMines Expands Gold-Silver Portfolio with Strategic Mount Mackenzie Acquisition

QMines Limited (ASX: QML) has announced the acquisition of 100% of Mount Mackenzie Mines Pty Ltd from Resources & Energy Group Limited, significantly enhancing its exposure to gold and silver. The Mount Mackenzie Project, located 140km northwest of QMines’ Mt Chalmers copper project in Queensland, contains an existing Mineral Resource Estimate of 129,000oz gold and 862,000oz silver. The AU$2.485 million deal includes cash and escrowed QML shares, and brings two granted tenements under QMines' control. The acquisition offers operational synergies, exploration upside, and the potential to process ore at the proposed Mt Chalmers plant. QMines is set to ramp up exploration efforts, with mineralisation still unbounded at depth and along strike, aiming to build on its current resource base. This move aligns with its strategy to become a leading multi-asset copper-gold producer, offering shareholders diversified commodity exposure and increased leverage to the gold price.
