On 30 March 2023, Patriot Battery Metals Inc. (ASX: PMT) announced the latest drill results from the Corvette-FCI property in Quebec, owned by Clean Air Metals, have extended the high-grade Nova Zone of lithium mineralization. The drill campaign has identified a zone of variable thickness, with lithium oxide (Li2O) grades of between 2-5%, occurring between depths of 125-325 meters. The high-grade Nova Zone includes a band of 5+% Li2O spodumene pegmatite, which has been traced over a minimum 200-meter strike length.
The latest drilling extended this zone along strike by around 400 meters, with high-grade mineralization identified in several drill holes. The pegmatite intrusive systems have a swell and pinch nature, with the intersection in drill hole CV23-125 marking the eastern end of drilling to date, where encouraging indicator mineralogy suggests strong potential for the system to continue at favorable grades. The primary objectives of the 2023 drill campaign are to further delineate the extent of the CV5 Pegmatite culminating in an initial mineral resource estimate scheduled for Q2 2023.
