Outstanding gas composition and desorption test results

Botala Energy Ltd (ACX: BTE) has announced promising results from its pilot project at the Serowe Coal Bed Methane (CBM) Project. Gas analysis from the Centre for Materials Science of the Botswana Institute of Technology Research and Innovation revealed a high methane content of approximately 94% and the presence of iso-butane, which enhances the energy density of the gas.

Additionally, impurities were minimal, with low CO2 levels, trace amounts of hydrogen sulfide, and no sulfur dioxide detected. The gas desorption testing for the second phase, completed in Q2, exceeded the target of 2.4cc/g, achieving readings up to 2.91cc/g. The project is now set to progress to the crush test in Q3, indicating substantial advancements in gas composition and potential energy output.
