Orica Limited Reports Profit Growth but Shares Dip Amid Market Reaction

Orica Limited (ASX: ORI), a major explosives manufacturer, reported a full-year net profit of AU$525 million, while its earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) rose 15% to AU$806 million. Despite the solid financial performance, the company's shares declined by 2.6%, with prices dropping to 16.93 AUD. Orica also announced an unfranked final dividend of 28 cents per share, highlighting its commitment to shareholder returns. Market reactions led to a 3.64% decrease, suggesting cautious investor sentiment amid broader market conditions.
