Nufarm Limited (ASX: NUF) provided an update regarding the approval granted by the Norwegian Food Safety Authority (NFSA) for the utilization of Aquaterra Omega-3 oil in fish feed. This decision serves to reinforce Nufarm's growth aspirations in the revenue generated by their seed technology. Aquaterra, derived from Nuseed Omega-3 Canola, stands as the world's pioneering plant-based source of essential DHA and EPA nutrients. The NFSA's assessment, translated from Norwegian, affirms that the feed meets the safety standards necessary to prevent harm to human or animal health and to ensure the suitability of animal-derived food for human consumption.

Furthermore, the approval recognizes that the utilization of the feed does not have detrimental effects on the environment. Norway approves Aquaterra as the first biotechnology product for use in fish feed, addressing the limited supply of fish oil and supporting the growth of the salmon industry. Nuseed Omega-3 Canola provides a sustainable alternative, producing ample DHA with minimal land requirements.
