New Hope Corporation Limited: FY 2023 Full Year Results

New Hope Corporation Limited (ASX: NHC) announced its 2023 Full Year Results reveal a solid financial performance. Shareholders can expect a final fully franked ordinary dividend of 21.0 cents per share and an additional final fully franked special dividend of 9.0 cents per share, resulting in a total full-year fully franked dividend of 70.0 cents per share and an impressive 13 percent dividend yield based on a share price of AU$5.311.

The company reported robust financial metrics, with an 11 percent increase in Underlying Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) to AU$1,746.6 million and a Net Profit After Tax (NPAT) of AU$1,087.4 million, up from AU$983 million in the previous year. Despite a slight decrease in coal production to 7.2 million tonnes, net cash from operating activities increased by 34 percent to AU$1,524.8 million. New Hope Corporation also demonstrated a commitment to safety, achieving a 19 percent decrease in the Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate (TRIFR) to 2.12.
