Minbos Secures US$2.43 Million in Funding for Cabinda Phosphate Project

Minbos Resources Limited (ASX: MNB) has received the second tranche of funding, totalling US$2.43 million, from the Fundo Soberano de Angola to support the ongoing construction of the Cabinda Phosphate Fertilizer Project in Angola. The funds have been allocated to Minbos’ subsidiary, Phobos Ltd, ensuring continued progress on the project. The final tranche of US$1.17 million will be disbursed upon renewal of project insurance and submission of supplier quotations for long lead items.

Early field trials in Angola have yielded strong results, demonstrating the effectiveness of Minbos’ phosphate fertilizer, PRIMEIRO. Trials indicate that PRIMEIRO significantly enhances crop yields, particularly in phosphorus-deficient and acidic soils, with yield increases of up to 80%. This is attributed to phosphorus’s critical role in root development, flowering, and fruiting. Additionally, findings confirm that other nutrients remain ineffective without phosphorus, making PRIMEIRO a vital agricultural solution and a key driver for Minbos’ market positioning.
