The Energy and A-REIT sectors are the top 2 gaining sectors, gaining 0.85% and 0.42% in their index values. On the other hand, the Industrials and Consumer Discretionary sectors are the top 2 losing sectors, declining 0.53% and 0.42% in their index values.

Carsales.com Limited (ASX: CAR) and Bluescope Steel Limited (ASX: BSL) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 3.819% and 2.586% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Syrah Resources Limited (ASX: SYR) and Beach Energy Limited (ASX: BPT) are the top-losing stocks and are declining by 5.480% and 5.090% in their stock prices.

Factors influencing the market-

• Carsales.com Limited’s share price jumped following its full-year results, which showed its profit quadrupled to $646 million.
• Beach Energy dropped after reporting a 24% drop in full-year profit, while Aurizon tumbled after its net profit fell 46% to $276 million.
• Bendigo and Adelaide Bank fell following its full-year profit fell short of some analyst expectations.
• Dow has closed up by 0.30%, S&P 500 down by 0.11%, and NASDAQ ended lower by 0.56%.
• Hang Seng is down by 0.90%, and FTSE 100 is down by 1.24%.
