Mid-Market: S&P/ASX 200 Trading Lower By 0.23%; Investors Awaits RBA Monetary Policy Decision

The Healthcare and Information Technology sectors are the top 2 gaining sectors, gaining 0.79% and 0.67% in their index values. On the other hand, the A-REIT and Financials sectors are the top 2 losing sectors, declining 0.79% and 0.66% in their index values.

Healius Limited (ASX: HLS) and Champion Iron Limited (ASX: CHN) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 5.675% and 2.883% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Bellevue Gold Limited (ASX: BGL) and CSR Limited (ASX: CSR) are the top-losing stocks and are declining by 3.847% and 3.190% in their stock prices.

Factors influencing the market-

• The S&P/ASX 200 shares are dropping today following lackluster movements on Wall Street as the market waits for the result of today’s Reserve Bank meeting.
• Origin Energy Limited edged up after Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) recommended investors to vote in favor of the Brookfield-led consortium’s US$10.5 billion (AU$20 billion) bid for the electricity generator.
• GQG Partners’ shares fell after it recorded a US$1.9 billion decline in its funds under management in October. The listed money manager booked U$S103.9 billion in its latest update, down from September’s figure of US$105.8 billion.
• Oil prices are higher after Saudi Arabia and Russia reaffirmed they will stick with oil supply curbs of more than 1 million barrels a day through to the end of the year.
• The Dow has closed up by 0.10%, the S&P 500 up by 0.18%, and the NASDAQ ended higher by 0.30%.
• Hang Seng is up by 1.71%, and FTSE 100 is trading flat.
