Consensus was for 25,200 jobs created and unemployment to remain steady at 4.2%.
  • Oil prices settled lower in the previous session, adding to bruising losses over the past week as the prospect of a less severe escalation in the Middle East and weak demand weighed.
  • The Dow has closed up by 0.79%, the S&P 500 closed up by 0.47%, and the NASDAQ ended higher by 0.28%.
  • Hang Seng is trading flat, and FTSE 100 is up by 0.97%.
