Mid-Market: S&P/ASX 200 Trading Higher By 0.16%; Buoyed By IT And Energy Stocks

On 24 October 2023, at AEST 12:00 PM, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 is trading higher today, gaining 11.20 points or 0.16%, and is currently trading at 6,855.30 levels. Out of 11 sectors, 9 sectors are trading higher along with the S&P/ASX 200.

The Energy and Information Technology sectors are the top 2 gaining sectors, gaining 0.74% and 0.61% in their index values. On the other hand, the Healthcare and Utilities sectors are the top 2 losing sectors, declining 0.64% and 0.14% in their index values.

Core Lithium Ltd (ASX: CXO) and Pilbara Minerals Limited (ASX: PLS) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 6.060% and 5.027% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Polynovo Limited (ASX: PNV) and Allkem Limited (ASX: AKE) are the top-losing stocks and are declining by 3.897% and 2.703% in their stock prices.

• The Dow has closed down by 0.58%, the S&P 500 down by 0.17%, and the NASDAQ ended higher by 0.27%.
• Hang Seng is down by 0.72%, and FTSE 100 is down by 0.37%.
