Mid-Market: S&P/ASX 200 Trading Higher By 0.14%; Oil Prices Jumped More Than 1%

The Energy and A-REIT sectors are the top 2 gaining sectors, gaining 1.43% and 0.68% in their index values. On the other hand, Information Technology and Materials sectors are the top 2 declining sectors, declining 1.15% and 0.94% in their index values.

Bapcor Limited (ASX: BAP) and Amcor Plc (ASX: AMC) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 5.882% and 3.261% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Gold Road Resources Limited (ASX: GOR) and Arcadium Lithium Limited (ASX: LTM) are the top-losing stocks and are declining by 11.696% and 6.708% in their stock prices.

• The Australian share market is trading flat, with decline in tech stocks and benchmark heavyweight BHP offsetting a strong opening session for oil producers.
• Gold Road Resources Limited’s shares are the worst performer after the company has reported a fall in gold production in its latest quarterly report.
• Domino’s Pizza gained today after its stock plummeted more than 30% in the previous session after the company revoked its existing earnings guidance due to weak performance from its stores in Japan.
• Oil prices jumped after separate attacks by Iran-backed militants that killed US troops in Jordan and hit a tanker in the Red Sea, in a marked escalation of tensions in the region.
• The Dow has closed up by 0.16%, the S&P 500 down by 0.07%, and the NASDAQ ended lower by 0.36%.
• Hang Seng is down by 1.60%, and FTSE 100 is up by 1.40%
