  • US market gains, with the S&P 500 up 1% to 5608.25, have boosted investor sentiment, contributing to the ASX's 4.5% bounce since the early August sell-off.
  • Investors are focused on upcoming remarks from Fed Chairman Jerome Powell at the Jackson Hole symposium on Saturday (AEST) for insights into future monetary policy.
  • Mixed corporate earnings reports from companies like Dexus (down 7.3% to AU$6.95), Baby Bunting (up 15.1% to AU$1.75), and Reliance Worldwide (up 8.9% to AU$5.12) are driving sector-specific movements on the ASX.
