Metrics Income Opportunities Trust: Half-Year Financial Performance Update.

Metrics Income Opportunities Trust (ASX: MOT) reported a 3.32% decline in revenue to AU$33.0 million for the half-year ended 31 December 2024, with profit down 6.17% to AU$28.0 million. Total comprehensive income mirrored this decline, while distributions fell to 8.02 CPU, down from 10.71 CPU in the previous period. The net tangible assets (NTA) per unit remained stable at AU$2.14 despite market challenges. 

The fund continues to invest in private credit and structured investments, targeting 7% annual cash income distribution. Subsequent to the reporting period, a 1.60 CPU distribution totaling AU$5.3 million was paid on 10 February 2025. There were no significant changes in the fund’s operations, though the proposed acquisition of its Responsible Entity by KKR was terminated on 24 February 2025. The fund remains committed to active portfolio management to balance risk and returns.
