Lumos Diagnostics (ASX:LDX) has entered into two significant agreements with Hologic, Inc. (NASDAQ:HOLX), a global women's health company. The first agreement involves the development of a next-generation version of one of Hologic's women's health products, utilizing Lumos' proprietary reader platform. The second agreement grants Hologic an exclusive license for Lumos' intellectual property in the field of fetal fibronectin, with a value of US$10 million payable by June 2024.
The development agreement could yield up to US$4.7 million, contingent on achieving specific milestones over the next 18-24 months. These agreements build upon a year-long collaboration and extend Lumos' partnership with Hologic, providing financial strength and potential revenue from point-of-care (POC) diagnostics. Lumos Diagnostics CEO Doug Ward emphasizes the strategic value of the partnership, enhancing the development of Hologic's commercial products and advancing both companies' clinical and commercial progress.
