Lithium Universe Partners with Lafarge Canada for Sustainable Cement Innovation

Lithium Universe Limited (ASX: LU7) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Lafarge Canada Inc., a leading cement producer under the Holcim Group, for the exclusive supply of Aluminosilicate Secondary Product (ASCR) from the Bécancour Lithium Refinery.

With an annual production of 130,000 tonnes of ASCR, this partnership supports the growing Canadian cement industry, which generated AU$12.3 billion in 2021 and continues to expand. This collaboration aligns with Lithium Universe’s commitment to building a circular economy, optimizing by-product utilization, and reinforcing Québec’s battery materials and infrastructure sectors.

Chairman Iggy Tan emphasized that this partnership strengthens local supply chains while promoting greener construction materials, marking a significant step toward sustainable industrial innovation in North America.
