Clean lithium producer Lake Resources NL (ASX: LKE) is making significant strides towards completing the Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) for its Kachi project by December 2023. Recent advancements include successful drilling, extraction, and reinjection tests, validating the scale and quality of the Kachi Lithium Brine Project. A comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment is ongoing, alongside community consultations.
The process plant design is being finalized, with a modified layout to accommodate off-grid commissioning for the initial phase. Lake CEO David Dickson noted improved drilling performance and extraction tests showing 20 percent higher grades than initial samples. The project's power solution is being refined, considering off-grid alternatives using solar and battery storage. Lake is also actively engaging with regulatory bodies, governments, and stakeholders to bolster the lithium supply chain.
