IPH Limited working with external advisors in response to cyber Incident

IPH Limited (ASX: IPH) has announced that it is working with external cyber security and forensic IT advisors to respond to a recent cyber incident that was detected on March 16, 2023. The unauthorized access was primarily limited to document management systems and practice management systems of two of its member firms in Australia - Spruson & Ferguson and Griffith Hack, as well as the IPH head office. IPH has taken immediate action to isolate the compromised systems and remove them from its network.

The company has established new network infrastructure following a strict restoration process, with key system functionality now restored. Security has also been enhanced with additional preventative and detective controls to protect the IPH network. The two affected member firms have transitioned back to normal operating procedures on the new systems, while other member firms continue to operate as normal. IPH is continuing its investigation into the extent and nature of the unauthorized access, which is expected to take several weeks.
