Infinity Mining Identifies Seven High-Priority Lithium Targets at Woody Prospect Using ANT Survey.

Nov 13, 2024

Infinity Mining Limited (ASX: IMI) has announced the results of its Ambient Noise Tomography (ANT) survey at the Woody Prospect within the Pilbara Infinity Project, identifying seven high-priority drill targets for potential pegmatite-associated lithium mineralization. ANT, a passive geophysical method utilizing natural seismic noise, enabled the creation of a 3D subsurface model based on S-wave velocity variations, which helped reveal low-density zones indicating possible lithium-rich pegmatite bodies at depth.

The survey covered tenements E45/4848 and parts of E45/5720, focusing on both known pegmatite outcrops and concealed areas. Through detailed integration of ANT data with geological, geochemical, and magnetic survey data, Infinity identified seven concealed, low-density targets cutting through the geological stratigraphy, representing promising drill sites for further exploration.
