Market Alert: ASX200 at Critical Support – Reversal or Further Fall?
Impact Minerals (ASX: IPT) has identified a high-priority nickel-copper-PGE target at its 100%-owned Arkun Project, 150 km east of Perth. Infill soil geochemistry assays revealed a coincident nickel-palladium-gold-chrome-cobalt anomaly, resembling deposits like Chalice Mining’s Gonneville. This anomaly coincides with strong geophysical conductors detected via Mobile Magnetotelluric (MMT) and airborne Electromagnetic (EM) surveys, confirming direct drill targets for potential sulphide mineralization.
Drill planning is underway for Q2, supported by an AU$180,000 WA Government EIS grant. The soil anomaly spans 400m x 200m, with strong palladium (111 ppb) and gold (42 ppb) values. Two deep drill holes will target MMT and EM conductors. Impact Minerals’ Managing Director, Dr. Mike Jones, emphasized the significance of this discovery and encouraged shareholder participation in the renounceable rights issue closing March 21st.
