Haranga Unearths Significant Uranium Anomalies in Senegal

Jan 17, 2024

Haranga Resources Limited (ASX: HAR) has uncovered significant uranium anomalies at the Mandankoly prospect, part of the 1,650km² Saraya Uranium permit in Senegal. The discovery, identified through infill surveys on a 200m x 50m grid, comprises two uranium anomalies displaying concentrations up to 15ppm, seven times higher than the 2ppm background levels. Extending approximately 600m, these anomalies are located within erosional valleys on the Eastern Saraya laterite plateau, indicating a potential connection with the underlying granite, currently hosting the existing resource.

With a total of five closely spaced uranium anomalies now identified, excluding the JORC compliant 16.1Mlbs U3O8 inferred mineral resource, Haranga plans to upgrade the resource from Inferred to Indicated. Ongoing auger drilling and regional termite mound sampling continue, with RC drilling set to recommence post-Christmas shutdown for potential resource expansion. Managing Director Peter Batten expressed excitement about the aggressive exploration program amid growing interest and price surges in the uranium market.
