Jan 02, 2025

Green Critical Minerals Ltd (ASX: GCM) has significantly expedited the construction and commissioning of its VHD Technology pilot plant in New South Wales. Strategic equipment procurement and continuous efforts over the holiday period have enabled the completion of Line 1 construction ahead of schedule. The commissioning process has advanced to the Wet Commissioning phase following successful Dry Commissioning. The initial prototype VHD graphite blocks are expected in January 2025, with the first qualification blocks anticipated in February 2025, which is well ahead of the original timeline. The pilot plant will support applications in high-performance electronics, aerospace, and renewable energy sectors.

Key achievements include the completion of pilot plant construction, commencement of commissioning, and preparation for small-scale production. GCM plans to validate laboratory-scale samples by Q2 FY25, initiate customer qualification, and target commercialization by Q1 FY26, showcasing the transformative potential of its VHD graphite technology.
