Solis Minerals Limited (ASX: SLM) has secured new copper exploration licenses covering 6,400 hectares in Peru, filling a void in underexplored coastal regions between Ilo Norte and Ilo Este. The areas, once owned by Anaconda Copper, exhibit minimal prior exploration. With a total landholding of 43,500 hectares, Solis emerges as a significant player in the burgeoning copper belt, particularly targeting porphyry copper potential.

Drill permit applications for Ilo Este and Ilo Norte are underway, with further plans for the Cinto area. Initial field visits reveal promising copper mineralization, prompting immediate follow-up studies. Solis emphasizes community engagement while advancing drilling permits, with sights set on tapping into Peru's rich copper reserves and expanding their lithium projects in Brazil.
