Expanded exploration program at high-grade Itinga tin project

Perpetual Resources Ltd (ASX: PEC) is ramping up exploration at its Itinga Project in Brazil, targeting high-grade tin mineralization in the Jequitinhonha Valley. The latest reconnaissance sampling in February 2025 returned exceptional results, with tin grades exceeding 20% Sn, reinforcing the project's strong potential. These results build on the July 2024 program, which identified grades up to 7.3% Sn. 

With global tin prices surging by 30% to nearly US$36,000 per tonne due to supply disruptions, Itinga presents a significant opportunity. The expanded program will include geological mapping, trenching, and sampling to delineate priority drill targets. Given its large, underexplored pegmatite corridors, Itinga has the potential for substantial resource expansion. As tin remains a critical metal for modern technology, Perpetual is well-positioned to capitalize on rising demand.
