Empire Energy Group Limited (ASX: EEG) announced the start of drilling for the Carpentaria-5H well within its 100% owned and operated Beetaloo Basin permit. Utilizing Ensign Rig #965, C-5H is a critical component of the Carpentaria Pilot Project, marking a significant step forward in its efforts to maximize energy production.C-5H will set a new benchmark as Empire's longest drilled and stimulated horizontal shale well, targeting a remarkable 3,000-meter drilled and cased horizontal section. With a planned, measured depth exceeding 5,000 meters, it anticipated drilling and casing to be completed in approximately 45 days, efficiently pushing the boundaries of shale extraction in the region.
Upon completing drilling operations, C-5H will undergo hydraulic stimulation. It is committed to enhancing productivity through greater horsepower, increased proppant concentration, and higher fluid concentration. Importantly, C-5H will utilize a single slickwater design throughout the horizontal section, setting the stage for greater efficiency and production potential.
