E79 Gold Mines Limited (ASX: E79) is advancing exploration activities at the Laverton South Gold Project in Western Australia, following KalGold’s emerging Lighthorse discovery near its tenement boundary. CEO Ned Summerhayes stated that the team has rapidly reviewed high-resolution geophysical data, identifying multiple priority drill targets.
These targets, highlighted by structural complexity in magnetic imagery, are closely related to the Kirgella Gift and Providence gold deposits. Key geophysical features, including structural breaks, offset stratigraphy, de-magnetised zones, and cross-cutting faults, have been identified as immediate drilling priorities west of the Lighthorse discovery. An air-core drilling program is set to begin within weeks, with a drill rig already secured. E79 Gold is also closely watching KalGold’s upcoming RC drilling program as both companies work to expand and define the potential of this promising gold-bearing region.
