DigitalX Limited Restructures Business to Focus on High-Growth Opportunities

DigitalX Limited (ASX: DCC) has announced the winding up of its DigitalX Fund and Real-World Asset Tokenisation Fund to reduce cash burn and shift focus toward higher revenue-generating business units. The DigitalX Fund, launched in April 2018, delivered 377.4% returns and ranked among Australia's top-performing funds, but operational costs outweighed revenues. The Real-World Asset Tokenisation Fund, launched in June 2023, failed to attract external investment beyond the company's AU$1 million initial commitment. Given the lack of mainstream adoption of tokenization projects, DigitalX will redeploy these investments into more profitable ventures.

These changes do not affect DigitalX's spot Bitcoin ETF, which continues to grow and represents a significant part of the company's digital asset investment strategy. The company remains committed to exploring new ETF offerings as regulatory frameworks evolve, positioning itself as a leader in the digital asset sector while optimizing its capital allocation for sustainable growth.
